Yes, the Dems are on the ropes right now. They need to spend the next couple years coming up with a solid plan to win back the White House. This is why I can't for the life of me figure out why so many Dems are already supporting a Hilary in 2008 idea. The 2004 election taught us that in order to win, you must get atleast a few Southern states. Kerry couldn't do that. Does anyone honestly believe that Hilary has a shot in hell at any southern state?? I simply cannot see southern, conservative, evangelicals voting for a woman. Some may argue that Clinton could get the female vote, and she may to a degree, but the Dems usually do fairly well with women. However, I believe that for every female vote she gains there will be a male vote she doesn't get. To some degree (a great degree in some areas) the US is a sexist nation. Progress has been made, but it's not equal yet. As much as many women, and some men, love the idea of Hilary in 2008, please.....I beg of you Democrats, put it out of your heads right now. It's not a possiblity. One candidate I would like to see is Obama. The man is charisma times ten. But again, a man of colour will never win a southern state. The only Democrat with a shot in 2008 is John Edwards, who is as close to a good 'ol boy as the Dems have until the bible releases it's stranglehold on American politics.
