Hey,
When I first got this game, despite hearing about certain buggy issues, I thought it had great potential so I got it of the bat. After playing a couple days intensively, here are some of the bugs.
Custom Candidates pic. doesn't show up. Shows up as Blank.
Custom Candidates always starts off 20 points behind regardless of the issues. It seems they are not getting the part bonsuses.
You can only unlock the other candidates on the Campaign map using the same candidate over and over.
Sometimes there is an animation of a plane in a state after you just left it, it just sits there unclickable for the rest of the game.
Furthermore, I know Stardock is great for providing add-ons for its customers and I really think some more options would make this game shine.
1.) Independent Candidates (Mike Bloomburg, and Libertarians/Green Party as an option) At the very least these take away votes between the two major parties and play another factor.
2.) Make the code open so we can mod it like GalCivII. More events, More news interviews. Like in GalCivII such as the pirates event or the Dreadlords, I believe there should be a crisis situation event say Terrorist strikes again! or Worst Hurraicane Season Yet! Stock Market Crashes! that throw unpredictability into the works.
3.) Make the primaries a option to play. If anything so far, the Democratic and Republican primaries have been even MORE dramatic than the McCain-Obama Showdown that is to come. Romney vs. Huckabee vs. McCain (plus the 3x other hacks), Then Obama vs. Clinton. Imagine having 4-5 OTHER candidates you need to compete against and the elections happening over a 4-5 month span. After that STARTS the general election and if you spent all your money getting the party vote now you're boned since you left none for the real race. NOW THAT IS a EPIC GAME.
4.) Make DEBATES possible. Where you call out the other and in a rethorical 1v1 style winner is boost in the polls but winning at all costs style cause loss in popularity in some states. Mitt Romney wons all the debates but looked like an ass doing so..
5.) More endorsement options. Seriously come on.
6.) Make flight distances Cost relative. How many candidates fly out 8 hours 1 way to Hawaii to gave a speech? This will also make it more real for candidates to raise money REGIONALLY instead of state-wise. This game is unbalanced where if I have awareness in say CT, NJ, and MA (The top 3 richest per Capita states in the US btw) I have to fly to ALL of them using money and energy while If I was a Democrat I always just use Cali as a cash cow, whereas in REAL life Since CALI is huge candidates would have the same amount of travelling to LA, and San Fran as the immediate suburbs of NY such as Darian, Greenwich, New Brunswick that are within 1 hour drive of each other. (Also major major rich areas to boot)
Obama got more Cash raised in New York and CT then he ever did in Ill and Cali. SIZE should NOT mean wealth.
So WHAT are the chances for an update!
