I don't know if you've noticed, but there are actually liberal soldiers. You don't have to be Republican to love your country and want to serve. The title of your article is very insulting to the many liberal soldiers and officers serving in our armed forces.

You know, at first I didn't even read your article because I was so focused on the ridiculous wrongness of the title. I have read your whole paragraph of a blog, and I would like to second thatoneguy's comments. *cuckoo . . . cuckoo . . . cuckoo*

They encourage terrorists, period. Terrorist say, "You shouldn't be here." Kerry and his ilk point to the act and say "See, we shouldn't be there." Terrorists say "We will bog you down in a new Vietnam." Liberals say say the same thing.

If the message is the weapon, and it surely is, then what does it matter if a rich senator is saying it or a terrorist? It is still a weapon. Kerry and Pelosi and everyone using war propaganda, stretching the truth, destroying our morale; they are all traitors to their country.

Next week, when the terrorists sit around deciding what to do, they have a good idea because of the statements made by these ghouls that their tactics are working, and that their efforts are having an impact. As long as they see that beheading people and killing US personel squelches our ability to support the war, they'll keep beheading people.

The sad part is Kerry and the rest aren't cowards, they are opportunists. IF they were cowards it would be excusable. Instead they are climbing up piles of bodies to get to their power. Shame on them.

This is the wrong war, period. We went into a secular nation, denounced by Osama bin Laden and other extremists, looking for al Qaeda. Iraq isn't a part of the war on terror. We went into a secular nation with virtually no terrorists, and made it a breeding ground for fundamentalists and extremists. We went looking for WMD. 1 year and 5 months later, the ones we should have attacked, Iran, are the ones making nukes. We should have attacked Iran or Sudan, or any of the other nations that actually have al Qaeda ties. If you believe that Democrats are the ones in Iraq with AK-47's following some fanatical cleric, or if you believe that Democrats are against the war on terror, then you have been watching way too much Hannity and Colmes and reading too much Ann Coulter.

thatoneguyinslc : You are too smart to spout this "They don't have a plan" stuff. This is the US military and the President of the United States. It's asinine to say "they don't have a plan". They successfully liberated Afghanistan and Iraq in an impossibly short amount of time with an amazingly small number of casualites. There are hold-outs and insurgents, but those have been commonplace in every war we have ever fought.

Kerry, Micheal Moore, and the liberal mainstream opposing the war, are traitors to their country. Feel free to troll me again. Put their "message" right next to enemy propaganda from WW2, from Vietnam, compare it to terrorist speeches now. They continually overstate our losses, ignore our successes, claim that the soldiers are dying needlessly, claim that the war is being fought for covert, unjust reasons. Their message is could be rehashed Tokyo Rose speeches.

As I have said before, the message is the weapon, and Kerry and ilk are firing it as much as any terrorist organization, and for completely self-serving reasons. He is purposefully harming his nation, and aiding the cause of our enemies, for personal gain. That is the textbook definition of traitor.

If it were only opinion, there wouldn't be a problem. The facts are being misrepresented, the truth is twisted, lies are told, and ALL WITH THE SPECIFIC GOAL OF UNDERMINING SUPPORT FOR THE WAR AMONG THE US PUBLIC AND THE MILITARY.

They are using half-truths, Moore-esque "questions", and outright lies to demoralize and splinter the will of the American people. That isn't simple expression, that is a pointed, overt attempt to subvert the war for the personal gain of the people involved. If that isn't treasonous, what exactly is?

I also fear for our children. A nation as splintered and self-obsessed as we have become cannot stand, period. No decisions can be followed through on, there is no respect for authority, so solidarity,nothing. The US is becoming a self-indulgent, nihilist mess. We don't believe in anything, we don't think anything is worth doing. Yes, I think our children are very much in danger from the current mode of thought here.

No, there is a difference between not supporting and undermining. There is a difference between speaking critically and lying and purposefully constructing propaganda that makes things seem far worse, or unreasonably questions the intent of the President.

You don't care, I realize that, but the majority of the words coming from the anti-war ghouls ARE LIES or vast misrepresentations.

This isn't about saying "I don't agree with war, I don't think we should be there." This is about Moore, Kerry and the rest misrepresenting Iraq, misrepresenting Bush, misrepresenting the actions of the military and the successes they have achieved, and mimicking terrorist statements FOR PERSONAL GAIN. These people are seeking wealth and power and doing it by subverting the morale of the US military and general public.

Make this a "free speech" issue all you like, but there is a reason that propagandists in other wars have faced criminal charges. The message Radio Tokyo broadcast during WW2 and that of Farenheit 9-11 is almost identical in thought and spirit. One was a crime, the other is free speech? Hardly.

To those of you who are trying to claim that Iraq has no terrorist connections or had none before this recent war. I am here to educate you.

If they are gravitating to Iraq - where our military is - then is that not exactly what we want?
They sure aren't in the US - well, we have captured some here but the main movemenet is to Iraq, where our military can deal with them rather than our civilians. Let all the terrorists migrate to Iraq. We couldn't have had better results if we asked them nicely

The mere suggestion that Kerry is a traitor is just wrong! If the current administration even had a plan, then MAYBE he would have stood by his decision to back bush 2.0. How many more soldiers have to die while he sits there with his thumb up his a** and comes up with a plan to deal with Iraq?
