ROFL, skyjack, eating up everything that fox and other media outlets feed you. The "plot" that they wanted to carry out was quite literally impossible. Don't believe me? I didn't think so. I'll try to put it in terms you can understand:

Jet fuel is like diesel, so it has a very high flash point (oops, maybe that was a little too technical for you)

The fact is, the pipes that they wanted to blow up were full of jet fuel. Sounds like maybe you are right skyjack....not quite. Jet fuel needs to be at a certain temperature and have a certain mix of jet fuel VAPOR and air in order to ignite, neither of which would have ever happened. So needless to say, the guys that wanted to do this were total idiots, so I guess it is a good thing that we could catch them. Maybe that defense money is going to a good cause.

If, for some reason you still don't believe me skyjack, take a clue from your own post: turn on FOX

Or I can do it for you if you are too lazy.

Ummm, no. Diesel fuel has a flash point of 143 degrees F, while jet fuel has a flash point of 100 degrees F. The autoignition temperature of jet fuel is 410 degrees F, which can easily be exceeded by almost any explosive available today.

Jet fuel, and any other fuel, can be ignited inside a pipe if the autoignition point is reached or exceeded. Natural gas pipeline explosions are proof of this.

Yeah, these guys are idiots, but if supplied with the right supplies and training an idiot is very dangerous.

Thanks for the input, Mason......sounds like flayed one needs to stop eating up what the MSM is feeding him.

The danger is real, no matter how much the liberal media, and the Democrat Party, downplays it. When NYC goes up in a mushroom cloud, it will be the fault of the liberal media for laughing every time something like this happens, for altering or leaving out big chunks of pertinent information to make it suit their template, or for ignoring it altogether.
Fortunately, lots of the liberal media is based in NYC, and so it will be ironic justice that they'll go up with it.

And just an fyi....take it from someone who was in Naval "aviation" (that would be "jets" and turbo- prop A/C) for 6 years. Jet fuel (commonly refered to as JP-5) does NOT need to be a "vapor" to ignite. All that is required is air and the right amount of heat! So just "maybe" YOU'RE the one who should keep their mouth shut. And before you start running your mouth, know this....there is "very" little in naval aviation that uses Av/Gas anymore. Except for the COD's and the T-28 Trojan trainers, "every" thing else uses jet fuel! And you can ask any sailor that was aboard an aircraft carrier, why the "smoking lamp" was turned off during refueling.
