Canada spying on Americans?

I just read about some American's theory that Canada was spying on americans contractors with the use of nanotechnology implanted on red-spotted quarters..

I mean.. it's ridiculous. Are americans that paranoid?

It was vaguely plausible as a theory in the beginning - the coins were both unusual and contained (from the perspective of the reps who encountered them) unusual fibres. The problem was that at no stage did anyone bother to see if the coins were an actual issue or not until after the scandal had broken.

It was just a case of hysteria overcoming common sense.

Ignoring the particulars of the "nanotechnology" theory... are you saying that you think Canada isn't keeping tabs on the US?

Off course we are. Economicly, politicaly and culturaly. You are the country that appears the most in our news, and I am sure most of our analysists are keeping tab on you.

But if it actually happen that we actually discover something about you. What the hell could Canada do? Yell "Hey! This ain't right!"?

Stories of american governement trying to stampede our sovreignty sometime make the news here (and I'm 100% sure they never made it to your media), but we aren't freaking about it. Even if there wouldn't be a damn we could do to defend ourselves.
